RIGHTEOUSNESS

RIGHTEOUSNESS 2 Corinthians 5:14-21  Devotional:- “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (V. 21) NKJV It is because of the love of God that we are called the people of God today (Romans 9:25). This has created an eternal problem for the devil. In the Old Testament, many people tried to please God, but they were not able, and this brought destruction upon them. The Bible mentioned that Jesus, when He died, went to hell to free the saints (1 Peter 3:19). These are men who had lived all their lives to obey the law, yet were not able to reach the mark of righteousness. Today, the righteousness they were not able to attain, we have effortlessly attained. This is not because we are better than they were, but because we are children born in due season. This is the righteousness referred to in the scripture as imputed righteousness (Romans 4:6-8). This righteousness is given to us through faith in the Lord Jesus Chri...

ASKING AND RECEIVING

ASKING AND RECEIVING

LUKE 11:5-13
DEVOTIONAL: “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened” (Vs. 10)

Prayer is about asking and receiving. To many people, prayer is asking and asking. This mindset of prayer being only about asking should be erased because prayer entails asking and receiving. Sometimes, some believers say that they have been asking God for something in the past one year and are still believing Him for answers. This is totally a wrong mindset. When I pray, I expect an answer, so it comes always and almost instantly. If I stay long in prayers, I just want to hang around God.
Friend, prayer is a dialogue and not a monologue. If your son or daughter comes to ask you for something, do you postpone your response or keep quiet about it? No, you don’t! Our religious mindsets need a total change. Your desires might not be delivered immediately, but the answer of God is His word. God might tell you yes, no or hold on, but He will not ignore you.

The Scripture for today says that everyone who ask, receives. God always answers with an instruction or a guide on how we can receive answers (Psalms 32:8, Jeremiah 33:3). We must always play our parts by exercising faith at all times (Hebrews 11:40). Settle it in your heart today that, God always answer prayers (John 11:41-42). Open your heart to receive His voice and you will become fruitful in prayers in Jesus’ name. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, teach me to hear you always

“PRAYER IS A DIALOGUE AND NOT A MONOLOGUE”.
