FLOATING AXE

FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. The Holy Spirit was what they also depended upon, and there was a miracle. Friend, you also have the Holy Spirit. That stick is the word of God. Speak to the sinking situatio...

NOT OFFENDED

NOT OFFENDED

LUKE 7:18-30
DEVOTIONAL: “And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me." (Vs. 23)

It is reality today to say that many supposed Christians are already feeling offended by God. On Sunday morning, if you go out when people are in churches, you will discover that many Jeremiahs and Joshuas are at home because they have stopped going to church. Though, they were born in the church, they have stopped attending church services because they are angry with God.
Some people who have waited on the Lord to have solutions to some problems in their lives often withdraw from the fellowship of believers because they feel God has not given them answers to their prayers. This will never bring solution to any situation of man.

Friend, the reason this happens to some of us is that we have not yet completely dedicated our lives to God. People really need to know that God is greater than all men and our needs. Anyone who truly wants to follow God must be ready to go through a time of test (Deut. 8: 2-3). This is a time when it looks as though God has forgotten us, when we are faced with challenges of life. This is just a period when our determination to follow God is tested.
No matter what you may be going through, devote yourself completely to God. This is not because you need anything from Him, but because He is your God. If you stick to God because you want Him to meet your needs, you will soon be offended in Him. Decide to follow Him for who He is and He will always answer your prayers. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me not to be offended in you.

“THE EVIDENCE OF DEDICATION IS THE WILLINGNESS TO SERVE AND WAIT ON God, NO MATTER WHAT”.
