THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

IMPATIENCE

IMPATIENCE

HEBREWS 4:8-13
DEVOTIONAL:-“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”. (Vs. 12)

One major thing which many people are not careful about that can hinder their prayers is impatience. It is natural for a person to be impatient because of our human inability to manage our temperamental weaknesses. This is why we need to have quality understanding of the ways of the kingdom of God.
The king of this kingdom is God and His ways are different from ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). He has His own eternal plan and He made us to fulfill a part of His plans (Jeremiah 29:11, Isaiah 43:21). In God's agenda, there are things He will not do according to our plans but according to His own plan. This then calls for our maturity to work with Him in humility and endurance for our good and for His glory.

You need to stop comparing your life with others' (2 Cor. 10:12). We are not created to behave the same way. We may sometimes be impatient and angry with God, but that is not enough for us to act in unseeming ways. There are times when some Christians change their church family because of impatience. This is really not a step of spiritual maturity.

Friend, you need to covenant your life to stay with Jesus and remain in your church. This is because it takes planting to flourish (Psalms 92:13). Impatience makes you change your mind in doubt (James 1:6-8). It confuses the angels assigned on your prayers. So, watch out. Be mature to be patience with God. Then you will always receive answers to your prayers. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to patiently wait on you for my desires

“WAITING IN PATIENCE IS A PROOF OF MATURITY”
