RIGHTEOUSNESS

RIGHTEOUSNESS 2 Corinthians 5:14-21  Devotional:- “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (V. 21) NKJV It is because of the love of God that we are called the people of God today (Romans 9:25). This has created an eternal problem for the devil. In the Old Testament, many people tried to please God, but they were not able, and this brought destruction upon them. The Bible mentioned that Jesus, when He died, went to hell to free the saints (1 Peter 3:19). These are men who had lived all their lives to obey the law, yet were not able to reach the mark of righteousness. Today, the righteousness they were not able to attain, we have effortlessly attained. This is not because we are better than they were, but because we are children born in due season. This is the righteousness referred to in the scripture as imputed righteousness (Romans 4:6-8). This righteousness is given to us through faith in the Lord Jesus Chri...

CASTING YOUR CARES

CASTING YOUR CARES

1 PETER 5:5-11
DEVOTIONAL: “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (Vs. 7).

In this world, people have problems; one burden or the other, a challenge or the other or one need or the other. Despite all these problems, you must not allow yourself to be weighed down. If you do, making progress will become very difficult. That is why God has given us the platform of prayers.
In the Scripture for today, we are taught to always cast our burdens on Jesus Christ because He cares for us. One of the things we do during prayer time is to cast our burdens before the Lord. The word ‘cast’ means to pass it over to God in prayers. God does not expect us to carry more than we can bear. He is our father and our helper (Psalms 46:1). It will therefore be very wrong to carry the burden of life alone (1 Cor. 10:13).
When you cast a need to God in prayers, don’t keep carrying the burden. If you do, then it means you have not cast the burden upon Jesus. Whatever you commit into His hand will be perfected (II Tim. 1:12). Therefore, be willing to always cast your burden in prayers. God will take over and your life will be made beautiful to His glory. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to always cast my burdens on you.

“A BURDEN CAST UNTO GOD IS A BURDEN RESOLVED”.
