PROTECT YOUR HEART

Image
PROTECT YOUR HEART  Proverbs 4:20-27 Devotional:- “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” (V. 23) NLT      Everyone is born with a strength capable of rising to greatness. In every growing child is a seed of greatness. It is this strength that makes the youth so creative and energetic. That is why each young person looks at the future with great hope. The enemy tries to destroy this strength. As strong as many started in life, not many could strike the chord of success because their strength was destroyed.

ABUNDANT MENTALITY

Image
ABUNDANT MENTALITY   Scripture Reading: John 6:1-13 Devotional:- “Philip replied, "Even if we work for months, we woundnt have enough money to feed them"” (V.7) NKJV      Be careful not to reduce your life to poverty by the way you think. Remember your life will always go to the way of your thought pattern (Proverbs 23:7). This is because your thought pattern will always direct your action and attitude towards life (Matthew 12:33). If you keep thinking poor, it will be impossible for you to be rich. You are not poor. It is your mind that determines what you attract.

WISE SPENDING

Image
WISE SPENDING   Scripture Reading: Luke 15:11-15  Devotional:- “But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want” (V.20 NKJV)        A major factor that separates the rich from the poor is wise spending. The way some people spend money is a pointer to the fact that they can never be rich. What a poor man will consider small and be willing to throw around is what makes the rich to be rich. The poverty mentality makes some people to give themselves to pleasure (Proverbs 21:17). The devil always help people to define pleasure in a wrong way, just to waste their financial future.

MULTIPLYING MONEY

Image
MULTIPLYING MONEY  Matthew 25:14-21 Devotional:- "So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, 'Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them'” (V.20) NKJV   Everyone who wants to be financially free must learn the act of multiplying money. People need to know that it is not more income that will make a man rich but ability to multiply the one at hand. Work is not equal to wealth. This is what most people in this part of the world don't understand. Some think that if they can steal money, they will be rich. This is not true. It will only bring immediate comfort but cannot make one rich. A rich man is the one that is able to multiply money. No matter the salary you are paid, it is a wage for your labour (Proverbs 14:23). It does not make rich. It is your understanding of how to multiply that salary over a period of time that will make you rich.

FINANCIAL GOALS

Image
FINANCIAL GOALS  Scripture Reading: Proverbs 31:10-21 Devotional:- “She consider a field and buys it; from her profits she plants a vineyard” (V. 16) NKJV      If anyone do not have a goal, he will not be moved to attain any thing. Goal setting fuels our energy to pursue. Goal setting makes us run to attain (1 Corinthians 9:26). Goal setting makes our lives focus on achievement of something. It makes us to live according to plans. It helps us to be able to measure our level of achievement in life. Goal setting helps us to be in the line of progress.

COMPOUND INTEREST

Image
COMPOUND INTEREST   Scripture Reading: Luke 19:20-27 Devotional :- “Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?” (V. 23) NKJV      Everyone who wants to be financially free must learn how to make money, manage money and multiply money. One of the wonders of money multiplication is the use of compound interest. When interest becomes compounded, it turns the amount over and over in a wonderful way. The beauty of compound interest is a long term investment. That is why it is only those who can stand in self discipline that can truly be rich.

MULTIPLE STREAMS

Image
MULTIPLE STREAMS  Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastics 11:1-6 Devotional :- “But divide your investments among places for you do not know what risk might be ahead” (V. 2) NLT      As good as savings and investment could look like, as much as challenging it could be if one is depending on one means of income. The need for multiple means of income is not only because our needs are unlimited, but because life is a risk. So, there is a need for a man not to solely depend on a means of income. No matter how secure a venture could look like, it can still be stopped by one circumstance or the other. That is why, it will be wrong to put all your eggs in one basket. Life is not supposed to be up today and total down tomorrow. Our life is meant to increase daily (Deuteronomy 28:13).

INVESTMENT

Image
INVESTMENT Scripture Reading: Matthew 25:22-30 Devotional:- “So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest” (V. 27) NKJV      An investment is a venture in which you put in your money and at the end of a period, you can collect your money with interest. The interest is the beauty of an investment. This is how to make money work for you. The poor only work for money, while money work for the rich. The truth is that, there is no one that can not be rich. If only you can learn how to make money work for you. This is by investment. Yes, it may be risky but life itself is a risk.

SAVING CULTURE

Image
SAVING CULTURE Scripture Reading: Proverbs 13:22-25 Devotional:- “Much food is in the fallow ground of the poor, And for lack of justice there is waste” (V. 23) NKJV      It is important that you realize the importance of cultivating the habit or lifestyle of savings. It is an attitude that we must consciously cultivate. If not, people will be poor forever. Saving culture is a singular factor that can turn a man's financial status around for good. God makes us as a creature that can form habit and this is one of the major habit you must labour hard to form. If you don’t form habits for financial freedom, you are likely living with habits of financial failure.

RESPECT THE LITTLE

Image
RESPECT THE LITTLE Scripture Reading: Genesis 2:1-8 Devotional:- “but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground” (V. 6) NKJV      To become financially free, a strong factor is that we must stop looking down on little money. This is because, that is what we have the grace to access for now. Wise people knows that it is better to use what you have to get what you want. But the foolish waits for the big and postponed the attitude that will make them rich. Financial freedom come only to those who have the financial attitude no matter the volume.

MAKING PROFIT

Image
MAKING PROFIT Scripture Reading: Proverbs 14:23-29 Devotional:- “Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty” (V. 23) NLT      It's amazing to see how many of us don't think about profit at all. The moment some people sees money, they are just okey. They don't think of if the work and the earning is profitable. So many people doing businesses don't know the difference between capital and profit. What some people called salary is never a good income at all. Yet, they keep doing it.

MASTER YOUR BUSINESS

Image
MASTER YOUR BUSINESS  Scripture Reading: Matthew 13:1-9 Devotional:- “But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty” (V. 8) NKJV      As we seek for a life of financial freedom, we must not underrate the place of earning. Each one who want to be financially free must become more and more better in their earning power. But for a man's earning power to increase, he must master his business. You must become a professional at your profession. You must become a master at what you are doing.

HAVE A MENTOR

Image
HAVE A MENTOR Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 4:14-21 Devotional:- “For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel” (V. 15) NKJV      No matter your profession or discipline, there is a need to identify someone who can mentor you gradually into full success. Mentors are people who have been able to achieve what you are intending to achieve. This will go a long way for you to be able to learn what your parent or master thought you that you did not get. We may read books and get principles but it takes the help of a mentor to get it right in life.

WORK SMART

Image
WORK SMART Scripture Reading: Psalms 127:1-5 Devotional:- “Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain” (V. 1) NKJV      Working is a major task that God has given to everyone on the earth (Ecclesiastes 3:10). Working is a medium of releasing the energy in us to achieve something. Work is a demonstration of our gifts and talent. Work is what we employ to solve all problems. Work makes us earn value before people.

ACQUIRED SKILL

Image
ACQUIRED SKILL Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 16:14-23 Devotional:- “Then one of the servants answered and said, "Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the LORD is with him" (V. 18) NKJV      God has made everyone to be blessed. He made all men with seeds. Jesus became a seed of God to harvest the world for God. Today, we remember His resurrection and are glad. As long as a man have a seed, he cannot lack a financial future, except he refused to grow the skill of planting the seed. Acquiring skill is developing the act of using your seed profitably.

POWER OF SEED

Image
POWER OF SEED Scripture Reading: Galatians 6:6-10 Devotional:- “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (V. 7) NKJV      Everyone should get to know that one of the mystery of creation is the creation of seeds (Genesis 1:11-12). Seeds are small but coded materials. As small as a seed could be, yet it contains all that can develop with time to become a tree. No matter how big a tree is, it started to grow from the seed level. It is a seed that creates a future. Jesus had to spend three days in the womb of the earth to rise to glory.

DISCOVER YOUR SEED

Image
DISCOVER YOUR SEED   Scripture Reading: Luke 4:16-22 Devotional:- “So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read” (V. 16) NKJV      God made everyone with a seed. A seed is what God gives you that you can sow to have a harvest in life. This could be your talents, special gifts in you or special abilities. A seed is a coded material that can have a tree and forest in it. Since all are created with seed, it becomes the responsibility of each one of us to discover his or her own. It is your seed that you will be able to plant in places in lives to harvest your income. Jesus was a seed of God to harvest the world. As He pick the Bible He found in the scripture what He came to do in the world.

NOT HOW MUCH

Image
NOT HOW MUCH  Scripture Reading: Proverbs 6:6-11 Devotional:- “Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise” (V. 6) NKJV      A major reason people end up being poor in their life is because they create a standard for themselves based on their level of salary or income today. Some people earns #200,000:00 monthly, using four cars even in a rented or official apartment. Many people are looking big because there is a big income. Most of such people always end up frustrated and disappointed in poverty.

DON’T LOVE MONEY

Image
DON’T LOVE MONEY Scripture Reading: 1 Timothy 6:3-10 Devotional:- “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (V. 10) NKJV      As much as money is important as a means of exchange in the world, as much as we should not cast our love on it. To love money will make a man turn evil. That is why it is important to define what it means to love money.

LOVING GOD

Image
LOVING GOD   Scripture Reading: Mark 12:28-34 Devotional:- “And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength' This is the first commandment” (V. 30) NKJV      In our quest for financial freedom, it is important we know that we need to love God (Matthew 6:24). Please know that God is the giver of durable riches (Proverbs 8:18). It is important that we love God. We need to love God because He blesses people for a purpose (Genesis 12:1-3). We need to remain in His love, so that we can spend His riches on the purpose of His blessing and the way it pleases Him.

FEAR GOD

Image
FEAR GOD   Scripture Reading: Psalms 25:10-15 Devotional:- “He himself shall dwell in prosperity, And his descendants shall inherit the earth” (V. 13) NKJV      The fear of the Lord is the foundation for any relationship with God. This is because God is the source of all blessings (James 1:17). It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich (Proverbs 10:22). It is God that gives power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18). It is God that gives wisdom for wealth (Isaiah 48:17-18). It is God that gives durable riches (Proverbs 8:18). So, as a child of God, we cannot put God aside when we are thinking about money. Unbeliever can make money without God, but we know the end of ungodly riches (Psalms 37:36-37).

MANAGING RELATIONSHIP

Image
MANAGING RELATIONSHIP Scripture Reading: Proverbs 14:12-21 Devotional:- “The poor man is hated even by his own neighbor, But the rich has many friends” (V. 20) NKJV      It is important we come to know that God has kept all that man will need inside relationship. So, it will be wisdom that we learn how to be good manager of relationship so that what belong to us can flow to us. Relationship as it were, has its own way of helping us. That is why we will be wise to learn how to manage it.

AUTHENTIC

Image
AUTHENTIC   Scripture Reading: Luke 16:1-8 Devotional:- “So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light” (V. 8) NKJV      To be able to overcome financial challenges in our lives, we must learn the act of being authentic. Wrong or insincere spending will always lead to poverty. To be authentic is to live a life that is conforming to the fact on ground. To be authentic is to be factual with ourselves when it comes to the decisions on money and spending. Forcing yourself and borrowing to attain friends’ level is consuming the future.

METICULOUS

Image
METICULOUS Scripture Reading: John 6:5-14 Devotional:- “So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, "Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost." (V. 12) NKJV      The act of being meticulous is a singular act that will always differentiate between the rich and the poor. This is one of the important attitude of life to become master over money. To be meticulous is to take extreme care in treatment of details i.e. little, little money. These are details of your capital, net, gross income and your savings. There is a very strong need to be meticulous because big money is gathered gradually and can be destroyed gradually (Isaiah 28:10). That is why those who love pleasure will be poor (Proverbs 21:16-17).

ATTITUDE

Image
ATTITUDE  Scripture Reading: Luke 16:9-13 Devotional:- “Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?” (V. 11) NKJV      It is very important to note that everyone who wants to be master over money must understand the place of financial attitude. Our attitudes are the way we respond or react to people in any giving situation. Our attitudes is a product of our belief, feeling, and values. Our attitude is a form of attraction as similar to a magnet. We attract or repel money with our attitude. Here we are looking at financial attitude. It is the root cause of poverty.

LABOUR

Image
LABOUR Scripture Reading: Proverbs 14:22-35 Devotional:- “In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty” (V. 23) NKJV      Everyone who want to be financially free must be willing to labour. The word of God says “those who only want to be going about talking will have poverty”. Labour dignify life. Labour is the strength to produce anything worth while in this world. Labour is the reality of our ability to produce what other need for our income. Labour is what will make a man to be needed by others and produce his value.

MINDSET

Image
MINDSET Scripture Reading: Proverbs 4:20-27 Devotional:- Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life (V. 23) NKJV      Every man's life is a product of a mindset. A mindset is an information that has been set in our mind. For an information to be set in our mind, we must have listen to it over and over. We must have been convinced that the information is right. Mindset are our deep rooted beliefs. They are made solidly in our mind because we were convinced that it is what life is.

PATIENCE

Image
PATIENCE Scripture Reading: Hebrews 6:9-12 Devotional “that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (V. 12) NKJV      Whatever will last will take time to grow. Time will always be needed to grow into greatness. Great change does not happen overnight. A wise man will be patient until the formation of a great future but the foolish get deformed because of his impatience. To grow money, there is a need to allow growth with time (Romans 5:3-4).

POVERTY IS EVIL

Image
POVERTY IS EVIL Scripture Reading: Psalms 37:23-31 Devotional:- “I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread” (V.28) NKJV      Please understand that poverty is evil. What is evil is what is not made by the good God but through the cooperation of man with the devil. If a anyone does not know this, he/she will keep cooperating with the devil without knowing.

SAVED TO BE BLESSED

Image
SAVED TO BE BLESSED  Scripture Reading: Galatians 3:10-14 Devotional:- “That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith” (V.14 NKJV      God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to come and save us. Salvation is rescuing someone from destruction. Poverty is a destroyer of life and destiny. Poverty is part of the destructive work of the devil. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil in the life of all His children including poverty (1 John 3:8). That is why He came to the world.

CREATION OF BLESSING

Image
CREATION OF BLESSING Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:20-31 Devotional:- “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth"” (V.28) NKJV      It is important that you come to know that you are made to prosper. You are not fashioned to be poor. If you are poor today, it is an affliction because your maker did not make you like that. The reason some take to stealing or robbery is because they have a wrong conclusion about their lives and money. God did not make anyone to be poor. People are walking into poverty by their own ignorance.
