A FRIEND

A FRIEND John 15:9-17  Devotional:- “...but l have called you friends…” (V. 15) In this generation, it is not a common thing to find true friends. This is someone who goes all out to see to your well-being. Someone who wants to identify with you in all situations. Someone who is not feeling fine until he sees you, someone who daily remembers to pray and intercede for you. It can be a terrible thing sometimes when you desire to share your mind with someone, and no one is willing to listen to you, or someone who could offer a little help. Sometimes we could be in need of a little encouragement, but no one to really do it. The people who are supposed to encourage us are the ones who misunderstand us and condemn us. We need to come to the understanding that God is our friend. He is not just your Lord and God. He always wants to listen to you. He is not happy when you are not (Hebrews 4:15). He is always around you. He wants to identify with you in all situations. He is not out t...

POWER OF SEED

POWER OF SEED

Scripture Reading: Galatians 6:6-10
Devotional:- “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (V. 7) NKJV

Everyone should get to know that one of the mystery of creation is the creation of seeds (Genesis 1:11-12). Seeds are small but coded materials. As small as a seed could be, yet it contains all that can develop with time to become a tree. No matter how big a tree is, it started to grow from the seed level. It is a seed that creates a future. Jesus had to spend three days in the womb of the earth to rise to glory.
We also need to know that there are many things in this world that has been made and coded as a seed. You need to know and be conscious of them. Jesus said the seed is the word of God (Luke 8:11). So also your words are seeds. All your actions and attitudes are seeds. All your labour officially or unofficially are seeds. Your thoughts are seed (Proverbs 23:7). Your commitment either at home, school, or office, church or community are seeds, your gift or offerings in the house of God are seeds. You are a seed to your generation (Genesis 3:15; John 7:42).

The mystery of seed is that when it is planted in the right way and in the right place, it can germinate to become something great. All that will become your lot in your future are all going to be harvest of whatever you are doing now. The wisdom here is that you should become more conscious of the fact that whatever you are doing is a seed. As leaders our seed should be sowed in love. We must learn to see something good about people, say something good about people or educate people in love and expect something good about people (Ephesians 4:2; 15-16). So, keep sowing as you want to reap. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to be a faithful sower.
