  NOT AUTOMATIC Philippians.1:1-11 Devotional:- “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (V.6 NLT) Knowing fully well that spiritual growth is one of your purpose of been on the earth, then you also need to know that developing Christ-like character takes years, it is not automatic. We open to God bit by bit. Discipleship is the process of conforming to Christ (Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:13). The truth is that the journey to Christ-likeness is a life time journey. Growth involves believing, belonging (through fellowship) and becoming (through discipleship). Every day God want you to become a little more like Him (Colossians 3:10) Today we are interested in speed but God is interested in strength and stability than swiftness (2 Corinthians 3:18). The reason it takes time to grow is because we are slow learner. We often have to relearn a lesson forth or fifty times to reall...

FINANCIAL GOALS 

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 31:10-21
Devotional:- “She consider a field and buys it; from her profits she plants a vineyard” (V. 16) NKJV


    If anyone do not have a goal, he will not be moved to attain any thing. Goal setting fuels our energy to pursue. Goal setting makes us run to attain (1 Corinthians 9:26). Goal setting makes our lives focus on achievement of something. It makes us to live according to plans. It helps us to be able to measure our level of achievement in life. Goal setting helps us to be in the line of progress.

There are different types of goals. Short and long term. Everyone aiming at attaining financial freedom should embrace the two. Short financial goal is necessary for a necessary attainment ahead of us. For example: payments of rent, school fees, or purchase of an electronics in the house will demand short term saving plan. There is also a long term saving goals, that may demand five, ten or twenty years to attain. For example: someone who want to attain a volume financially will need a long term savings and investment strategy to attain it. A man who want to have a capital base of #20,000,000 (twenty million) and he can only afford to save #100,000 monthly, he will need 16years to attain it except with the law of compound interest, it could be shorter.

No matter how big or small our desire may be, there is a strong need to set it as a goal. Put up a plan and a line of action to pursue it with a determined heart. That is when financial goal is possible. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace of a financial achievement.

“GOAL SETTING GIVES YOU STRENGTH TO PURSUE”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
