  PARENT OF THE GREAT Exodus 2:1-10 Devotional:- “So the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months..” (V. 2) NKJV. Anything you see that is great in life was incubated by some great people. If you can see anyone becoming great in life, you can easily trace the history back to the parents. I found something funny in this world: everyone wants their children to be great, but they don't bother to raise them for this purpose. People are wise enough to raise chickens for different purposes – some for laying eggs and some for consumption – but few are raising children with the purpose of leadership. We often expect the children to just grow and be great by luck or chance. If you observe great people in the Word of God, you can easily trace it back to their parents. This you can see in the lives of Isaiah, Joseph, David and others. I think it will be funny to sow maize and expect to reap yams. Moses, as we read today, was born...

INVESTMENT

Scripture Reading: Matthew 25:22-30
Devotional:- “So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest” (V. 27) NKJV


    An investment is a venture in which you put in your money and at the end of a period, you can collect your money with interest. The interest is the beauty of an investment. This is how to make money work for you. The poor only work for money, while money work for the rich. The truth is that, there is no one that can not be rich. If only you can learn how to make money work for you. This is by investment. Yes, it may be risky but life itself is a risk. 

You can employ money to work for you by investing it in a profitable venture that you are sure will bring an income that will multiply the investment over time. That is why you must investigate properly before you invest in any venture. If there is anything you must keep in mind as you invest, it is the fact that you must not loose money.

There are different types of investments. It can be in a business venture, and it can be in the financial market. You can fix a particular amount for a period of time. You can trade with treasury bills or bond. You can also join a cooperative society savings arrangements. You can have an investment group like group contributions. You can as well invest in the stock market under the guide of a professional. Better still you can invest in real estate in different ways. Each person needs to find out properly and choose the one they preferred. A man without an investment will lack a future harvest. Investment makes money work for you. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, I shall not be poor in Jesus name.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
