THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. ACQUIRED SKILL

ACQUIRED SKILL

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 16:14-23
Devotional:- “Then one of the servants answered and said, "Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the LORD is with him" (V. 18) NKJV

God has made everyone to be blessed. He made all men with seeds. Jesus became a seed of God to harvest the world for God. Today, we remember His resurrection and are glad. As long as a man have a seed, he cannot lack a financial future, except he refused to grow the skill of planting the seed. Acquiring skill is developing the act of using your seed profitably.
Skill is ability to do something faster and better. We can acquire skill by learning from others who are better. We can as well acquire skill by moving with skillful people. We can acquire skill by studying those who has gone ahead of us in what we are doing. We can attend a formal institute of education. But better still, skill are more developed as we relate with those who are doing well in it. It can also be acquired by serving or doing business or trading with our gifts. This will make us to learn by experience, though this may take time.

David, as a young man was able to acquire all the skill we read about him by using and practicing them. Whatever you have found yourself doing, there is a need to become more skillful and smarter (Ecclesiastes 9:10; 10:10). The more skillful you are in your career or business, the more the opportunity will be there for you to prosper. Wake up. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, help me to be exposed to what will make me skillful
