HOW SERVANTS THINK

HOW SERVANTS THINK Numbers 14:11-25 Devotional:- “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” (V. 24).   To be a servant requires complete mental shift and change in attitude. Before God, attitude count more than achievement (2 Chronicles 25:2). So, when we look at how real servants think, they think more about others than themselves. Humility is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less (Philippians 2:4). Jesus takes the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7). We can measure our servant’s heart by how we respond when others treat us as servants. Real servants think like a steward and not owner. They keep in mind that God owns it all.  To become a real servant you’ve got to settle the issue of money in your life (Luke 16:13). Please understand that money has a great potential to replace God in our heart. When Jesus is your master...

SAVING CULTURE

SAVING CULTURE

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 13:22-25
Devotional:- “Much food is in the fallow ground of the poor, And for lack of justice there is waste” (V. 23) NKJV

It is important that you realize the importance of cultivating the habit or lifestyle of savings. It is an attitude that we must consciously cultivate. If not, people will be poor forever. Saving culture is a singular factor that can turn a man's financial status around for good. God makes us as a creature that can form habit and this is one of the major habit you must labour hard to form. If you don’t form habits for financial freedom, you are likely living with habits of financial failure.

We are able to form habits when our understanding is opened to the importance of doing something to achieve something. Some people inherited the financial habits from their family lineage. Such family will forever be able to amass wealth. Some people because of lack of savings culture will never handle volume of money in their lite time. The moment the parents don’t have this habits, it becomes difficult for the children to have it. The way out of poverty is to see the importance and discipline oneself at all cost to cultivate this saving culture. Saving is the act of setting aside a percentage of your income, to keep it with discipline never to touch it till maturity. The enemy of the saving culture is pleasure and fun mentality, living to please people and comparing yourself with others (Proverbs 21:17; 2 Corinthians 10:12).

Friend, it is not how much you earn now that determines your financial future, it is how much you can conserve and invest. Discipline yourself to start separating at least 20% of your income for saving and investment. It can be daily, weekly or monthly. There is a need to discipline yourself never to touch your savings until it becomes a bulk to be invested. Then you can by it walk your way out of lack forever by the wisdom of savings. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace and enablement to discipline myself for a better tomorrow.

“IF YOU CAN'T SAVE AND INVEST, THERE WILL BE NO FINANCIAL FUTURE”
