NEVER FORGOTTEN

NEVER FORGOTTEN Isaiah 49:13-23  Devotional:- “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you” (V. 15) NKJV Delays in some situations of life could sometimes make one feel forgotten. This could make anyone feel neglected and hated. Have you ever been in a situation where everyone was served but you alone were forgotten? This could bring a big embarrassment. But God cannot make such a mistake. Before He began serving, you were the one in His mind. His mind is filled with the memory of your love.  The scripture we read today says, even if a mother forgets to nurse her child, which I think is impossible, God said He cannot forget you. If a woman, for example, is far away from a child which has not been weaned, two of them will not find it easy. The baby will soon be crying, and the mother’s breast will soon be heavy and painful. Friend, God can never forget you. That is why He said He ...

NEW NAME

NEW NAME

Genesis 17:1-9
Devotional:- “No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations” (v.5) NKJV

There are different names in the world today; some are pleasant and some are not. Some are meaningless while some are meaningful. Some are common, and others are uncommon. The question is: what is the importance of the name? The truth is that they may not have been that important till we come to know the power of confession. What people pronounce on you goes a long way to affect your life. God’s word says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue...” (Proverbs 18:21). That is why you must know the meaning of the name you bear.

In the scriptures we read today, for God to be able to establish His promises to Abraham, He had to change his name. His former name meant exalted father, but God changed it to Abraham (father of nations). Do you know that from that moment his life began to take a new shape? When God was to bless Jacob also, He simply changed his name (Genesis 32:28).

I know people call you different names, even names that God didn’t give you. But this is the word of God to you this year. He is giving you a new name. Some people call you a debtor, barren, poor, etc. But you are taking after Abraham from now on. That is God’s plan for you this year (Galatians 3:13-14). Your name shall be Blessing, Favour, Comfort, Peace, Joy, Father, and Mother of Nations. You are a head and never a tail. You are a star, and you shall shine. You are a prince and princess of God. You are a winner. You are rising!

PRAYER: LORD, GIVE ME A NEW NAME FOR MY NEW LEVEL
