LOVE DEFINED

LOVE DEFINED I John 4:7-11 Devotional:- “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love” (V.8) NKJV Today, many people have been put into great trouble simply because they are looking for love. Since the nature of man cannot enjoy living without a lover, everyone searches for one wholeheartedly. If you find anyone who says he doesn’t need love from anyone, he is not sincere. He will soon find himself in desperate need of love. Since love is a universal need, men always seek for it, and most people never find it. There are quite a lot of things men term love, which are not, and has inturn misled and confused them. Until you can define your need, you may not have them met. This necessitates the need to truly define love. The scripture we read today gave us the true meaning of love. And you will be wise to embrace the word of God. It said, “God is love” (1 John 4:8). This mean God is love personified. It is His character and attitude. You can always define God as love. That is t...

FEAR TURNED AROUND

FEAR TURNED AROUND

Genesis 33:1-10
Devotional:- “But Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept” (v.4) NKJV

Sometimes in life, when a man has put in his best to achieve a thing and results in failure, he starts to nurse the fear of failure in that aspect of his life. Little did we know that God can always turn our fear to favour. Whatever has made you afraid so far—it could be your children, house, spouse, business, academics, or ministry—this year has come to turn it into a surprise for you.

Jacob and his brother Esau parted terribly. Esau wanted to kill Jacob, his brother, and because of this, he was asked to run away from home. This became the greatest fear of his life. By running away, he thought it was over, but a time came when he had to face his fear. Friend, stop running away from your challenges; face them. The spirit in you is destined to win; fear no more!

When the day came to face his brother, Jacob was afraid, but God turned the fear around. God has touched the brother for him, and he has forgiven him (Proverbs 21:1). The meeting became a sweet and memorable one. This year your fear shall be turned around. Though your fear might have threatened you for so long. You will see its end this year. And there shall be tears of joy. What you think will cause your death by facing it will not, for God will uphold you and you shall live. He will touch the heart of people for your sake (Proverbs 21:1), and your fear will be turned to your favour.

PRAYER: LORD, TURN AROUND MY FEAR THIS YEAR.

“OUR FEAR IS AS A RESULT OF OUR LIMITATIONS, WHEN GOD STEPS IN, IT WILL TURN TO FAVOUR”
