  SETBACK Genesis 39:10-21 Devotional:- “Then Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison” (v.20) NKJV Most people do not yet understand that what we call a setback, a lot of time is a set-up to set us to our top. Setback, as viewed by people, is demotion, but it is rather an opportunity to retreat and re-fire for greater victory. When the purpose of a thing is not known, men are bound to abuse it. Today, we read about Joseph, who was thanking God for being promoted from a slave to a house overseer. He always tried to put his best into his assignment, and by this, he always had joy. At this time, the enemy wanted to damage his testimony by the temptation of sin, but he stood his ground for God (2 Timothy 2:22). But then he faced something like a demotion to prison. DEATH OF THE CROSS

John 1:29-36
Devotional:- “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”  (v. 29)

    Jesus came to the world as the Lamb of God that was slain to carry away the sins of the world. The death of Jesus on the cross was as a sacrificial lamb. A lamb is always slain to take away the sins of people (John 1:29; Hebrews 9:22). Because of the love of God to humanity, He allowed the son to die in the place of man. The world needs to know this.

It is a painful thing for anyone to give his/her son to be killed instead of anyone. Yet God took this painful step. He gave us Jesus the one he beloved and called His son. Only those who believe have their sins atoned in the presence of God (John 3:16-21). Because of this painful death whoever would not believe in the son will face eternal damnation.

Friend, this is the gospel of Jesus that whoever believes in his death and resurrection will be saved. By his death, he provided forgiveness to all. Let all around you know that if they believe they will be saved (Act 2:38; Act 4:12). If anyone believe the Lord Jesus, God will forgive their sin because of the death of His son and they will have eternity with God.

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to believe in your death and resurrection

“THE UNBELIEF OF ANYONE DOES NOT CHANGE THE JUDGEMENT OF GOD”

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
