  SETBACK Genesis 39:10-21 Devotional:- “Then Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison” (v.20) NKJV Most people do not yet understand that what we call a setback, a lot of time is a set-up to set us to our top. Setback, as viewed by people, is demotion, but it is rather an opportunity to retreat and re-fire for greater victory. When the purpose of a thing is not known, men are bound to abuse it. Today, we read about Joseph, who was thanking God for being promoted from a slave to a house overseer. He always tried to put his best into his assignment, and by this, he always had joy. At this time, the enemy wanted to damage his testimony by the temptation of sin, but he stood his ground for God (2 Timothy 2:22). But then he faced something like a demotion to prison. DEAREST OF CREATION

Psalms 8:1-9
Devotional:- “What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him’ (V. 4)

    At creation God made all that man may need before making man. This is because man is the dearest of all creation. That is why man is made in the image and the likeness of God. In other words, man is made by the Spirit of God to have the traits of God. The purpose of this is because God wants to have His kind to fellowship with.  Goat fellowship with goat and dog fellowship with dog but God wants to fellowship with man, made in his image (Genesis 3:8).

God made man a free moral agent to choose to love Him or not. Just like a woman chose to love a man. But by the deception of the devil, man always wanted to do without God in their life and affairs. Hence, the need to evangelise to win the soul of man back to God. He has done so much to achieve this.

Friend, God is waiting for you to voluntarily choose to love Him. Don’t be deceived by the deceitful pleasure of this world. If you do away with God, He will do away with you. Respond to His love today and He will show you his love.

Prayer: Lord, help me to choose to love you all my life.

“TURNING TO YOUR MAKER INDEED IS THE GREATEST THING IN YOUR LIFE”.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
