When wisdom finds entrance into the life of a man, it gives discretion, which is one of the good products of wisdom. Discretion is the ability to understand your way from the past and know what to do next. Discretion means the ability to make wise and careful decisions, especially when you need to decide what is appropriate to do or say. Discretion means having the good judgment to know what to do, when to do it, and what to avoid. Many people are confused. Not knowing where to turn at a time, whether to turn to the right or to the left. If you’ve been finding yourself in this kind of situation several times, what you need is wisdom. It will be terrible to increase in age and not increase in wisdom. This happens to people who find it difficult to gain knowledge for one reason or another. One of the beauties of age is wisdom.
It is a pity that so many have grown in age and in status of public leadership, yet they lack wisdom for discretion. Some not able to counsel themself not to talk of the wife and the children. Discretion is simply a product of wisdom. Wisdom will guide your steps. It will give you counsel and the ability to know the end of a matter. Ask from God (James 1:5); He will give you. Have a teachable spirit, and you will gain wisdom.
Prayer: Lord, grant me wisdom
and discretion to make the right decisions along my path.
