HOPE Psalm 42:1-11 Devotional:- “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God” (v.11) NKJV If any man will experience sustaining joy, he must first be hopeful. Hope is the strength of joy. Hope is the reason for the coming joy. It is an expectation according to the will of God. It is an assurance of a coming joy (Hebrews 12:2). It is also the strength of faith (Hebrews 11:1). If there is no hope, there may also not be joy, but a man of hope will continue in joy. Oftentimes, we observe the current happenings around us, and it looks like there is no hope. The truth is that current events are not the determining factor for our tomorrow. God’s word says we cannot compare the suffering of now to the glory that is coming (Romans 8:18). Psalms 85:8-13
Devotional Verse - “I will hear what God the Lord will speak, For He will speak peace To His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly” (V. 8)

   So many people always talk to God in the time of prayers but, many have not learnt how to hear Him. Communication is not complete till there is response. Prayer is monologue to many but it ought to be a dialogue. A prayer life without response from the Lord will be totally frustrating. This has actually been the experience of many.

   The Psalmist says “I will hear what the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people but let them not turn back to folly”. Listening to God demands that you stop asking and just give Him praises. This act of faith to praise God even when you have not heard the answer to your prayers will eventually bring the voice of the Lord. When you are not sure of any words that come unto you, ask for the clarification. Always do this by asking God for a scriptural back up.

  The word of the Lord will always come in form of an idea released into your spirit. It will always make your heart to gain peace. This peace is a product of an agreement between the spirit of God and your spirit. It is like a confirmation to prove that the Lord had spoken. You only must be careful not to turn otherwise. Always obey the Lord and your life will always make progress. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, open my inner ears to hear your words

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
