JOY

JOY John 16:16-24  Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it. The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But ...

CORPORATE FELLOWSHIP

What it means to be a Christian in America todayCORPORATE FELLOWSHIP

Hebrews 10:19-25
Devotional Verse - “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” (V. 25)

We experience corporate fellowship whenever we join with other believers to fellowship together. This has tremendous power in bringing about the manifestation of God (Matthew 18:18-20). Fellowshipping alone with God is great for your growth in Christ Jesus but fellowshipping together will make greater power available for the deliverance of a believer.

The word of God says we should not forsake the gathering of one another as in the manner of some. In corporate fellowship, God’s presence is guaranteed. In corporate fellowship, we generate the release of greater energy of the spirit for each ones miracles. That is why the devil will do everything to discourage the coming together of children of God. Jesus said “whatever we bind in corporate fellowship here on earth, He will bind in heaven, and whatever we lose in corporate fellowship will be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 18:19-20).

Friend, it is simply the deception of the devil to make you get busy of the time of corporate fellowship. He is simply keeping you away from your freedom. It will never take more than a single church service to deliver you from that trouble and establish you in your place. Just be sure you have a focused heart in His presence. Note that there will be distractions by friends. Battles you can't face alone are easily defeated when believers pray (Act 4:31, Act 12:1-10). Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to enjoy the blessing of your house from now.
