SERVING WITH JOY Deuteronomy 28:47-52 Devotional:- “Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything” (V.47) NKJV A greater percentage of people do not know what stops their glory. They just suddenly discover that things just stop working out for them. In their ignorance, they accuse God and the devil for their predicament. You need to know from now that one of the things responsible is when people don’t serve with joy. People are always in haste to expect reward for their service. When it looks delayed, they begin to serve with grudges in their mind. God told the Israelites that if they did not serve God with a joyful heart, they would serve their enemy. This is actually too grievous, but men are also not always understanding. Something in us always looks so high that we don’t see what the Lord is doing, but we will always see what he has not done. Devotional Verse - “Pray without ceasing” (V. 17)


  
    
    Fellowship with God is the act of relating with God. Any serious relationship will demand consistency and commitment to grow. It is only a growing relationship that can profit the parties involved. It is only a growing relationship that brings us into the best of relationship.

   The word of God commands us to pray without ceasing. This implies that we are committed to our sharing with God. If you have appointed a time to pray, keep to it. This also implies that we consistently keep our communication with the Lord. Some people feel it is impossible to pray without ceasing. To some, they think prayer cannot be combined with other things. To pray without ceasing means, your heart keeps sharing with God. As simple as “Thank you Lord” it’s a prayer. It only demands that your heart is sincerely connected.

    In the midst of sharing in the office your prayer should not stop. “My God will make a way” it’s a prayer. Even in the board meeting “God will take control” it’s a prayer. “The Lord will help us” “All is working for our good”. “I will make it in Jesus Name”. “My God is able” All these are short but powerful declaration prayer that can be on always. Keep committed to your fellowship with God. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, let my heart always be connected with you.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

FOLLOWING CHRIST                   Luke 14:25-33 Devotional Verse:- "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple” (Vs. 26)      God has enthroned Jesus as King of kings and the Lord of lords (Revelation 17:14). Jesus earned this office by becoming the sacrificial Lamb of God for the salvation and redemption of man (Phil. 2:7-11). Therefore, every citizen of the kingdom of God must be followers and disciples of Jesus.
