  TIME OF CELEBRATION  2 Samuel 6:11-23 Devotional:- “Then David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod” (V. 14) NKJV As much as this season is tagged with much celebration, the enemy often tries to see how he could poison the joy of many people to remove them from the list of people who will celebrate. It will be wisdom for you to know that happiness and sorrow are a choice. I will advise you to choose to rejoice in hope and leave sorrow for the enemy (Romans 5:22). In the scripture we read today, David and all the people were in a mood of celebration because of the advent of the ark of the Lord. But a lady could not see what was worth celebrating, and she took offence at David’s elegant celebration. And she remains barren till her death. Friend, if the coming of the ark of the Lord is sufficient to lose celebration, how much more the coming of Christ, the Son of God. Don’t let the devil push you to sorrow corner in a time like this. Devotional Verse - “Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour” (V. 1)


     Any appointment without time can always fail. This is very vital when it comes to personal time with God. Remember the enemy doesn’t want you to have it. So, he will do everything to discourage you. He will use people; he will help you create excuses.  That is why you must be so determined and always fix a time to be with the Lord your God.
  We read from King David who fixed early in the morning. Whatever you do early in the morning must be very important to you. This is early before you rush out. The Bible says Peter and John were also going to the house of the Lord in the hour of prayers. The hour of prayers are 6 am, 9 am, 12 noon, 3 pm, 6 pm etc. The reason people fix time was not because of religion but to be consistent with God.
 
   Friend, you need to choose a time you know that will be convenient for you. Even when no time is convenient, make up your mind to set a time. It does not need to be as convenient but as commanded. Anything that will add to your life will never be easy. You are the one to make up your mind. The Holy Spirit will help you. Peace.
PRAYER: Lord, give me the strength to seek you early.

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
