NEVER FORGOTTEN

NEVER FORGOTTEN Isaiah 49:13-23  Devotional:- “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you” (V. 15) NKJV Delays in some situations of life could sometimes make one feel forgotten. This could make anyone feel neglected and hated. Have you ever been in a situation where everyone was served but you alone were forgotten? This could bring a big embarrassment. But God cannot make such a mistake. Before He began serving, you were the one in His mind. His mind is filled with the memory of your love.  The scripture we read today says, even if a mother forgets to nurse her child, which I think is impossible, God said He cannot forget you. If a woman, for example, is far away from a child which has not been weaned, two of them will not find it easy. The baby will soon be crying, and the mother’s breast will soon be heavy and painful. Friend, God can never forget you. That is why He said He ...

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

 HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

Mark 10:35-45
Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).

The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed.

Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always looking out for how to help others (Proverb 3:28). Real servants do their best with what they have. They don't give excuses.

Real servants do every task with equal dedication (Colossians 3:23). They know great opportunity often disguised themselves in small task. Small tasks show a big heart. Real servants are faithful in their ministries. They don't leave job half way done. Real servants maintain low profile. They don't call attention to themselves (1 Peter 5:5; Matt.6:1; Gal.1:10). Be humble in service and let God promote you (Col. 3:4). In heaven, secret services will be more rewarded. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, put in me the heart of a real servant.
