HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

REHEARSAL FOR ETERNITY

 REHEARSAL FOR ETERNITY

Ecclesiastes 3:9-15
Devotional:- “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end” (V.11)

It is important you realize that life here is a rehearsal for eternity. Just like you spend nine month in your mother’s womb, but that was a preparation for the real life, so also is life here compared to eternity. No matter how many years you spend here it is not up to one percent of eternity.

The scripture we read today says that God has planted eternity in our heart. That is why you don’t want to die. But as God’s kingdom citizen, death is not your termination but transition. So, choosing where to spend eternity is what we do here. This is by choosing to relate with Jesus the son of God or with sin and devil. That means these two relationship determines where you will spend your eternity (John 3:16).

The best way to live as a child of God is to choose to relate with God and choose the character of God (Matt 7: 20-21). These two factors are so important. So live in the consciousness of eternity always. This will greatly affect your character and values (Philippians 3:7). The moment your heart stops beating, your eternity begins. Then your character and relationship becomes eternal life and rewards (2 Cor. 5:1-11). There will be no room for amendment (Heb13:14). Please know that your character and relationship has eternal consequences. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord help me to choose you and your will in all things.
‘’TO LIVE ETERNALLY WITH God, SET YOUR MIND ALWAYS ON ETERNITY’’
