WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). Our scripture today told us of the installation of David as king, but that was a promise he received from God when he was about 1...

YES AND AMEN

YES AND AMEN

2 Corinthians 1:15-24
Devotional:- “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us” (V. 20)

We are living in the world where nothing is really sure. Everything seems to be unstable and unpredictable. This has really affected the faith of many. This has made some to think the word of God is no longer true.

Friend, the words of God are ‘Yes’ and ‘Amen’. That is why you must not view the word of God from the popular view. Learn to take the word as a sure word because it is (2 Peter 1:19). The word of God is ‘Yes’ because it has been proved and approved by God Himself (Psalms 12:6, Psalms 119:89). All that the word need to find expression in you is your amen of agreement.

The word of God says “two are better than one” (Eccl. 4:9). Yet, there is a need for two to agree to work together for them to influence each other (Amos 3:3). You need to agree with God and His word to enjoy the manifestation of His word. Let your Amen to the word not be a religious Amen but an Amen of agreement of faith in the ability of God. And your life shall be a testimony of Joy. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the strength to always agree with your word
