WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). Our scripture today told us of the installation of David as king, but that was a promise he received from God when he was about 1...

CONFIDENCE

CONFIDENCE

Scripture Reading: Psalm 18:27-39
Devotional:- “For by You I can run against a troop, By my God I can leap over a wall” (V. 29)

Confidence and courage are what bounce back into our heart whenever we are encouraged. Confidence is the act of gaining courage based on the assurance of the backing of God on our lives. As God’s kingdom citizen, we must know the way of our confidence. It is when we meditate on the testimony of the word and the power of God that we can gain confidence in Him.

In the scripture we read today, David was sharing of what he was able to do by the confidence he has in God. All you need to do in other to gain confidence is to meditate and put your trust in the word of God.

For you to be able to put on confidence in the word and the power of God, just call to mind what the Lord has done for you in redemption by Christ Jesus. He died to redeem you from all form of troubles of life. Situation may prove to you that you are nobody but the word of God says the blood that saves you is precious (1 Peter 1:18-19). Never forget that the Lord is with you (Joshua 1:5). Stop putting your confidence in your ability but in your ability in God. And you will bounce back to courage and confidence in Jesus name. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, help me to gain back my confidence in you

“SEEING JESUS BEHIND YOU GIVES YOU CONFIDENCE”
