WALL OF FIRE

WALL OF FIRE Zachariah 2:1-5  “For I,' says the LORD, 'will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst” (V.5) NKJV      One of the troubles that brings fear into the hearts of people today is insecurity. Most people in this part of the world always feel insecure. And when you look at the situations and experiences that surround us, they often want to make us feel insecure. This causes many to live their lives in fear in the day and at night.

SENSE OF REJECTION

SENSE OF REJECTION

2 Samuel 10:1-11
Devotional:- “When they told David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said, "Wait at Jericho until your beards have grown, and then return."” (V. 5)

There are some factors we have to be very careful about. This is because they are capable of discouraging us. To be discouraged is to be punctured or deflated of courage. To be encouraged is to put on or take up courage. It will therefore be wise to avoid whatever deflates our courage in life, so that we are not hindered of achieving the plan of God for our lives.
One of such courage deflating factor is sense of rejection. The servants of David were humiliated by the people of Ammon. They went for peace mission but they were confronted with rejection. They were so ashamed and discouraged.

Friend, be careful of the rejection mentality. This is simply a mentality of low self-esteem. If people reject you, quickly remind yourself that you belong to a family and a people who accepts you. Don't let this discourage and break you down totally in life. Were you rejected in a relationship proposal; traveling visa; business or career proposal? It is because it is not the perfect will of God for you. Refuse to remain in such depression. Encourage yourself, move on till you find the people that will celebrate you. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me to arise till I find my own place
