THE SECRET PLACE Psalm 91:1-16 Devotional:-“No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling” (v. 10)      A major tragedy in the world today is that of sicknesses. This is actually a part of the prophecy for the end time. The word of God reveals to us that perilous time shall come (2 Timothy 3:1). We all can testify to it that the perilous time has come. As much there is an agenda of difficult time for the world, but there is better plan of God for His own people (Jeremiah 29:11). That is why you must not submit yourself to the happening of this world. 

STEP OUT Act 3:1-10 Devotional Verse:-“And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength” (v. 7)      When the root of a tree is cut, it is clear that the tree is dead. Though in many situations it will look as though it is still standing, with time it shall be known to all that the tree is no more.  But to you, the moment you cut the tree you know it’s gone.

 IT IS GONE Matthew 12:43-45 Devotional Verse: “Then he goes, and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it be also until this wicked generation” (V. 45)      Many times, when people are been ministered to for their healing, they immediately receive their healing. But not too long they will start noticing the sickness again. That is why it is important you understand the way of the spirit to live above sickness.

RESIST THE DEVIL 1 Peter 5:5-11 Devotional verse: “Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (v. 9).      A major responsibility you have towards the devil is to resist him. You have nothing to do together with him than to cast him out. Whenever you sense his activities, the Bible didn’t tell you to fear him or beg or appease him but resist him (James 4:7).

BE STRONG Ephesians 6:10-20 Devotional verse: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (v. 10)       The nature of the kingdom of God demands that every citizen should be strong. Those who takes their place in this kingdom takes it by force (Matthew 11:12).             This is because the kingdom has unrepented and un-relented enemy call the devil (1 Peter 5:8). That is why you cannot afford to be weak as a Christian. We must wake up and be strong in our faith in the word of God (Ephesians 6:16).

COMMUNION TABLE John 6:50-59 Devotional verse: “Then Jesus said unto them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you have no life in you” (v. 53)     It is important that believers come to know that the communion table is for our healing. The word of God says, the life of every flesh is in their blood. (Lev. 17:11). So, the communion is taking the life of Christ by faith in the word of God.

THE BLOOD Exodus 12:21-28 Devotional verse: “For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you” (v. 23)      God has given us the blood of Jesus as part of our instrument of healing and deliverance. The blood is the house of the spirit and life of Christ (Leviticus 17:11). It is only when you have the blood of Jesus that the life of Christ is in you (John 6:53-54).

LAYING OF HANDS Mark 16:14-18 Devotional verse:-“They will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (v. 18)      God in His mysterious way of working out His miracle has placed power in the hand of believer for the healing of people. Sometimes your faith needs that a hand is laid on you by a spirit filled believer. When you feel you need the support of the faith of others for your healing, humble yourself and covet such release in the Holy Spirit.      When the word of God says signs shall follow those who believe, they will cast out demons, lay hand on the sick and they shall be healed, why? These hands are the hand that carries the life of God. Remember the bible says the life of a being is in his blood. So, when the spirit of God dwells in a man, the life of Christ is in his blood (1 Cor. 3:16). Whenever the spirit of sickness smells the blood in the hand of a believer they flee.

THE ANOINTING James 5:13-18 Devotional verse: “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord” (v. 14)      In the word of God is the anointing for our healing. The anointing oil is one of the emblems of our faith; it represents the power of the spirit. God’s word says, when someone is sick, let him be anointed with oil and prayer of faith will heal the sick. The oil is an emblem of the Holy Spirit.

THE WORD OF GOD John 8:31-36 Devotional verse: “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (v. 32).    Word of God is the truth man need for his liberty from all the assault of the enemy. The truth is what God has packaged and covenanted for our liberty. As powerful as the word of God is, ignorant of it could make it so useless to a man who will not take time to know (Hosea 4:6).

JOYFUL HEART Proverbs 17:20-28 Devotional verse: “A merry heart does good, like a medicine: but a broken spirit dries the bones” (v. 22)      One of the virtues for the liberation and the healing of man is the Joy of the Holy Spirit. There is a whole lot of difference between happiness and joy. Happiness is a once in a while experience because of something of interest that happens to us. But joy can only come from God through the engine of the Holy Spirit.

THE HOLY SPIRIT 2 Corinthians 3:12-18 Devotional verse:  “Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty” (v. 17)    It is important you come to know that the ministry of the Holy Spirit on earth and in the world today is like the ministry of Jesus, when He was physically on earth. That is why you and I need to seek to relate with Him regularly for our freedom and strength.

POSITIVE CONFESSION Isaiah 43:21-28 Devotional verse: “Put me in remembrance: let us contend together, state your case, that you may be acquitted” (v. 26).      It is important you come to know that your words are not mere word. In the realm of the spirit, what you are saying is known as your request, whichever way you are saying it (Numbers 14:28). This is because every word that proceed out of your mouth are either taking over by the angel of God or of the devil.

BEWARE OF SCIENCE 1Timothy 6:11-21 Devotional verse: “O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings, and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge” (v. 20)    God is the author of all forms of wisdom, including Science. Science is using our natural discovery of nature to solve human problem. God told Adam, have dominion over all things and subdue them (Genesis 1:28). In other word, use them for your advantage. Because of this grace given to man, many have thought that there is no need for God any more. Thinking all solution can come from nature through science.

CARE 1 Peter 5:5-7 Devotional verse: “Casting all your care upon Him; for He cares for you” (v. 7)     Care is a powerful tool to minister to us as human being. That is why you must always take care of yourself and your family. Care can actually bring cure. One of the things we expect to see in our relationship is care. Wherever you are cared for, something in you will always want to turn back there. 

RIGHT COMPANY Act 4:23-31 Devotional verse: “And being let go, they went to their own companions, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them” (v. 23).       All of us need right people around us. Someone said, count seven closest people to you, and then check their lives; you are looking at your future. The effect of right company around us is that, they influence us to do right thing and they join us to war against wrong things that are confronting us.

RIGHT IMAGINATION Jeremiah 1:11-19 Devotional Verse: “Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree” (V.11)      The way God made our mind is to record pictures. Even, when you listen to someone speaking or you are reading, the one you will remember most are the words you see. That is, the words you turn to pictures. This is the way to overcome with the word of God.

FAITH Act 3:11-21 Devotional verse: “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know: Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all” (V. 16).      A man of faith operates in the power of God. Faith is the act of stepping out to confront your situation according to the revelation of the word of God. Faith is not just an assertion of your acceptance of the word, it is far more than that. Without faith it will be impossible for anyone to resist the devil (1 Peter 5:9).      In the scripture we read today, Peter said, faith in the name of Jesus has healed the lame man (Act 3:16). Faith becomes active in a man when the spirit of the word of God has come into him. (John 10:34-35). The Spirit of the word of God makes of a quick understanding (Isaiah 11:3). It makes you convinced beyond reasonable doubt that you have the right to resist the devil. (James 5:15).      If a man will therefore

REDEMPTION Luke 1:67-75 Devotional Verse:-“Blessed is the Lord God of Israel; for He has visited and redeemed His people.” (V. 68).    The word redemption means a purchase from the slave market. This is because by sin, every man is under the slavery of the devil. (Romans 6:16), Jesus came to pay the price of our redemption by His blood when He died on the cross of Calvary. This price is to purchase us from slavery of the devil unto God. (Revelation 5:9-10, Colossians 1:13). 

THE WORK OF THE CROSS Isaiah 53:1-12 Devotional Verse: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by His stripes we are healed” (V. 5).      It’s important you understand that this world is built to follow the law of the spirit. (Isaiah 46:10). Whatever is written in the word of God is the law of the spirit and life (John 6:63, Romans 8:2). The devil is always a deceiver and a liar (John 8:44). Though it was the curse that was put on Adam and Eve that brought the spirit of sickness, the devil has been doing so much to persist by inflicting people with the punishment of that curse even when God forgives (Genesis 3:15-16).

HEALTH IS YOUR HERITAGE Exodus 15:22-27 Devotional Verse:“And said, If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, give hear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that heals you” (V. 26)     One of the major challenges in the life of man is sickness. These have been an instrument of the devil to afflict man since the curses in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:17-19). Sickness was never part of the curse but the devil took advantage of the curses to afflict the sons of men with pain and sickness.

LACK OF VISION Proverbs 29:15-20 Devotional Verse: “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law” (V. 18)      When a man lacks vision, he will also lack focus and will be force to take whatever is available. This is how so many things had walked their ways into the body of some people. Vision is a foresight of what God is about to do in your life. This gives you hope, understanding and energy to run.

 IGNORANCE Hosea 4:1-6 Devotional verse: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you, from been priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget thy children” (V. 6).    It is a terrible thing for a man to allow situation to carry him around without identifying what causes it. This is a function of a heart not willing to search out or find out what works or what not. Not willing to find out his own right (Proverbs 4:19). The word of God says, those who know their God shall be strong. (Daniel 11:32).

IDLENESS 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 Devotional verse: “that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands as we commanded you” (v. 11)      It is often said, that an idle hand is the devil’s workshop. When a heart is not occupied with a meaningful assignment, then it’s bound to take junks. There is no vacuum mind, a mind is either occupied with positive or negative activities.

WRONG FEELINGS    Mark 5:25-34 Devotional verse: [29] Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction (v. 29).      One of the instruments the devil uses so much against the strength of many is our feelings. God’s word says, my people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). The woman we read about today experienced positive feelings after she received her miracles. Most people are always having negative feelings.

WRONG ASSOCIATION    1 Corinthians 15:29-34 Devotional thought:- “Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits” (V. 33).    Understanding the role that information is playing in our lives will inform us of the danger of wrong association. These are places you go to relate as social being. The truth is that we cannot but relate. That is an aspect of God we always demonstrate. When we are relating, we unconsciously picking things from one and other. That is why you are a product of your relationship.

EVIL COMMUNICATION Mark 4:21-25 Devotional Verse: “Then He said unto them, “Take heeds what ye hear: with the same measure you use, it will be measured to you: and to you who hear, more will be given” (V. 24).    So many people do not understand the nature of their creation. Just like our body feed on physical food, so our spirit and mind feeds on information (Deut. 8:3). It is our five senses that are the doors to our mind and into our spirit. Almost all the things that happen to man come through information. Information is the vehicle through which the spirits are transferred from person to person (2 kings 2:15). This therefore calls for a caution.

EVIL IMAGINATION 2 Corinthians 10:1-6 Devotional Verse: “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (v. 5) KJV      One of the strongest virtues God made with every man is the ability to imagine. This is the ability to form images of what has been before. This simple virtue is a major instrument that God uses in creating. That is why people say, “If it is conceivable, it is receivable”. This weapon is a spiritual weapon. Through it, you can be in a place and your spirit can be in another place. God gave us, in order for us to create like Him. (Hebrews 11:40).

EFFECT OF SIN 1 John 3:1-10 Devotional Verse: “He who sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” (V. 8).      Man need to come to understanding that sin gives a legal right to the devil over a life. God’s word which is the covenant of God with human says whoever that sin (i.e. sinning) is of the devil.  Sin open door to the devil in the life of man while righteousness open door for God. Sin will chase away the presence and the grace of God from the life of man (Romans 6:1). Until a man gives his life to Christ and turn away from the life of sin, devil will keep having a rite of passage over his life.

FEAR I John 4:17-19 Devotional Verse:-“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” (V. 18).      For the devil to achieve his goals of afflicting humanity with sicknesses of all kind, he uses some virtue that we need to wisely expose. (Psalm 89:22). One of such attitudes he uses to trick man into sickness is the attitude of fear. The devil has successfully packaged himself in such a way that man will think it is normal. The word of God we read today says, fear has torment. The torment of fear is all kind of sicknesses and pain. Job said what he is greatly afraid of has come upon him (Job 3:25).      Friend, faith is the opposite of fear and just like faith move the power of God to action, so also fear move the power of devil to action. (Hebrew 11:6). Fear is produced in man just as faith is produced. Faith comes by information, so also fear (Romans 10:17). Many lives have been cheap

ORIGIN OF SICKNESS Genesis 3:8-19 Devotional Verse: “To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in pain you shall bring forth children; your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you” (V. 16).      The word “Pain” was mentioned in the bible for the first time in Genesis 3:16. This was when the first affliction of sickness was released on the sons of men. When God made the first man at creation, there was no record of sickness and pain. They were not creatures of weaknesses. They were made to be healthy forever. Don’t forget they were made like God. (Gen. 1:27). God is a healer and He cannot be sick. (Exodus 15:26).
