  TIME OF CELEBRATION  2 Samuel 6:11-23 Devotional:- “Then David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod” (V. 14) NKJV As much as this season is tagged with much celebration, the enemy often tries to see how he could poison the joy of many people to remove them from the list of people who will celebrate. It will be wisdom for you to know that happiness and sorrow are a choice. I will advise you to choose to rejoice in hope and leave sorrow for the enemy (Romans 5:22). In the scripture we read today, David and all the people were in a mood of celebration because of the advent of the ark of the Lord. But a lady could not see what was worth celebrating, and she took offence at David’s elegant celebration. And she remains barren till her death. Friend, if the coming of the ark of the Lord is sufficient to lose celebration, how much more the coming of Christ, the Son of God. Don’t let the devil push you to sorrow corner in a time like this. LOVE HIM SUPREMELY           

Matthew 22:34-40
Devotional -“Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'”’ (V. 37)



    For us to be able to worship God effectively demands that we love Him supremely. To love God supremely means, He is higher than all men and all things in your life. Praise goes beyond singing or playing instruments. It goes beyond dancing and clapping of hands. It spring right from our heart. So, the state of our heart is so vital, if our praises will be acceptable to God. That is why Jesus said, we must worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:24).

    The word of God says, we should love God with all our heart, our soul and with our entire mind. Then, we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. God’s love must be vertical and that of man horizontal. So, the love of God in our heart must be different from the dimension at which we love men. It must be far greater than it all. To love Him supremely means you are willing to drop human offer to obey and praise Him. 

     The level we place God in our heart determines the state of our heart in worship. Our praises must be from a heart of true love. We are commanded to love Him and allow His love to determine our thinking, our decisions and our actions. This is the true act of praises. In this, our praises can be strong enough to bring God into our situations. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, plant the seed of your love in my heart.

“LOVE IS THE FOUNDATION FOR TRUE WORSHIP”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
