TIME OF JOY Philippians 4:1-7 Devotional:- “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again l say, rejoice.” (V. 4) KJV One of the most important and most needed virtues of life is joy. When joy is not in place, many things may not be in place. It is joy that eases a man off the tension of life. It is joy that puts men always in health (Proverbs 17:22). It is joy that destroys our doubt. It is the joy in the Lord that increases our faith. It is joy that refreshes our minds and gives us mental richness. There are many more things that joy does in our lives, yet it looks so scarce in the lives of many. This is because there are not many pleasant situations that will help them rejoice. But you, as a believer, should know that you cannot afford to live in sorrow, for without joy, life will be totally in shambles. 2 Samuel 6:12-23
Devotional- “Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, "How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!" (V. 20)
    Praises demand humility for it to be genuinely giving to God. Man has been so brainwashed to think there is no need for God, so much, that this pride does not make us to praise Him. The truth is that praising someone will demand that one humbles himself. But in the course of trying to maintain our self esteem, we often find it difficult to Praises demand humility for it to be genuinely giving to God. But in the course of trying to maintain our self esteem,we often find it difficult to praise God at the expense of our ego.


    As David and the children of Israel were bringing the ark of the Lord to the place prepared for it, this was done in much music of praises to God. David the king, then danced in praises to His maker. But this does not fit in to the human mode for a king. We expect kings to behave kingly, but David humbled himself and danced unto God so much that one of his wives, the daughter of King Saul mocked him and the woman remain barren all her lifetime.

   Friend, God is not the age mate of any mortal man. So, we must be humbled in other to be able to praise Him. No matter how highly placed a woman might be, when she is with her husband, she is number two and she must be humbled in other to be able to honour the husband (Ephesians 5:23-24). Among ourselves, we can play a kingly role, but when we are with God, please humble yourself that your praises may be acceptable. Peace 

PRAYER: Lord, give me a humble heart to praise you

“ONLY THE HUMBLE CAN PRAISE GOD”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
